Anyway, I wanted to share with you some photos that were recently taken by the fabulous Paul  of Paul Gibson Photography of the lovely girls from our Oxford shop. Good old Paul has become our  go to photographer for all of our glamorous events and photo shoots over the past few months. In fact he shall be accompanying me and Catherine (the Oxford manager) to Ragley Hall this afternoon to scope it out for our second bridesmaid shoot this weekend (fingers crossed the rain holds off). The photos of the girls were so good that we want to show people at every opportunity! It looked like they had such a good time (so good that I am actually a bit jealous). Check them out!

We love the Britannia feel to these fabulous photographs. Also loving the layers of net skirts under those dresses!  They’re all wearing 2 (obviously you don’t have to wear 2). These fabulous dresses are all from our new favourite brand “Hell Bunny”. We don’t love the name but love the dresses! They are all £55 and available in our shops and online (although not all colours and prints are available from everywhere). Even the keep calm canvas is available online! We really have got it covered! Also – just because I love it – here is a hilarious picture of Jude in a box (a Union Jack box no less)

Anyway these are the beginnings of our Jubilee celebrations! Check back for more Jubilee inspired fun! We can’t wait!

Yes that’s me! Complete with crown, practising my royal wave in one of our fabulous Mariam dresses.

Back to the task in hand, putting our brains into action we needed to come up with an amazing focal point and the creative genius that is Laura James decided to embark on a little flag making project. Just look at what she created…

Anyone notice anything unusual about this picture? I’ll give you a Jubilee inspired prize if you can come in store and tell us!!!!

Well haven’t we been busy recently?! As I am sure most of you know by now we have been very busy creating and launching a new website. Don’t worry this website isn’t going anywhere. We have launched a new website especially for bridesmaids.

We have realised over the years that brides have headed to Aspire and found that the dresses we source are perfect for their bridesmaids and different to traditional styles available in wedding shops. We found that there weren’t many websites that were just dedicated to bridesmaid. So we looked at what brides were telling us they liked and set up www.aspirebridesmaid.co.uk

The dresses that we have are sourced from designers that supply fashion boutiques rather than bridal designers. That way bridesmaids get the latest season looks without the hefty price tag.

We don’t just have dresses either. Like our main site we also sell jewellery (including some beautiful hand made pieces), accessories and decorations.

You might notice that the clothing images are all on real life models. 2 of the girls in the images are the winners of our “Doll for a day” competition that some of you may remember. The other two are straight girls that already work for us! We think they all look fabulous!

Anyway I digress. I wanted to tell you about a fabulous competiton we are running to celebrate the launch of www.aspirebridesmaid.co.uk. We are giving one lucky winner a dress and a piece of jewellery of their choice from the new website. What do you have to do? Simple! Either sign up to the newsletter on the new website, follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook and the winner will be chosen at random. If you do all three then you will be entered three times and so have more chance of winning! The deadline for entries is Sunday 22nd April and then the winner will be announced next week.

A lot has been going on here at Aspire HQ over the past week or so – all of which has been very exciting. Not only have we been getting some fabulous deliveries from all of our favourite suppliers but we have had the third of our famous fashion shows in our Solihull branch.

It was a fabulous evening and a full house! Everyone who attended had a wonderful time – even the Aspire girls enjoyed themselves despite all their hard work. I was lucky enough to be able to watch the show whereas the majority of the girls were behind the scenes making sure things ran smoothly. When I arrived there was an air of excitement and nerves. For some it was their first time on the Aspire runway but for others they were old time pros!

The show was opened by one of our owners, the lovely Emma Woodward, giving everyone a little introduction and a taster of what inspires her and her best mate Sam Yair when they buy for Aspire. Sam and Emma are old school friends and over the years enjoyed many a girlie shopping trip. However, they were fed up of exclusive boutiques with prices they could never afford. So they decided to put things right and do it themselves. I think we can all agree that they have done a fabulous job.

As you can see from the photos below the girls worked the catwalk like they were pros. They made the dresses look effortlessly beautiful. Most of these dresses are available on our website or in our four shops. Now the sun is shining we are really in the mood for all these gorgeous spring time dresses.

We had a fabulous evening and can’t wait until the next one!

We will be holding our third fashion show at our Solihull shop on Thursday 15th March (that’s next week). Tickets are bargain price of £5 and available to buy from all four of the shops and online. Postage from the website is free so you don’t even need to worry about paying anything extra! The doors will open at 7pm on the night and we will need you to be seated by 7.30pm for the show to start. We will be showing off all of our fabulous new bits from our new Spring/Summer collection including dresses by Fever and Emily and Fin and our new shoe collection from Chinese Laundry.

I can tell that you are intrigued so I shall tell you more. We at Aspire Style HQ are very excited as we will soon be launching a new website. Do not fear current www.aspirestyle.co.uk lovers we will not be doing away with our current website. We will be launching a new, very flashy and very pretty website to run alongside the original one. The details are unfortunately still under wraps but I promise you it will be a goodun!

Some of you may have already heard us Facebooking and Twittering about Doll for a Day but I am here to fill you in.

We have decided that because you are all such a good looking bunch of people we would pick our Aspire model from the people that know who we are the best. You! We are looking for someone, it can be anyone (providing you are female) to be one of the faces of our new website. We will be holding a photoshoot in conjunction with Paul Gibson Photography and we need you. Paul is a good friend of Aspire and a proper bonafide and generally fabulous photographer. Some of you may be familiar with him if you have been to one of our fashion shows as he is often there taking pictures for us (thanks Paul).

Entrants must be over the age of 18 and be a size 8-14. They are the only requirements we have. If you think you (or someone you know) would be the perfect candidate all we need for you to do is email 2 pictures of yourself to shop@aspirestyle.co.uk. We ask for you to send a full length shot and a head and shoulders shot. Don’t worry, we don’t need you to be 6ft tall size 6 models; we are just looking for someone that loves us and our clothes! We won’t pass on your photographs to any third party so it is totally safe!

Closing date for entries is 11th March so get your photo’s in soon!
